» Tape Supply

Customised tape libraries are supplied to Client specification using premium quality tapes.

Tapes are packaged in protective storage units or simply in bulk packs for clients who have their own storage facilities.

Tapes are individually labelled with basic information, such as a sequential usage number through to more comprehensive information such as site details, recorder identification, and product type with sections for recording audit trail data.

Individual tapes can also be given a unique laser-etched serial number.

All tape formats are available, our preference is to supply Fuji tapes as they have a reputation for being the security industry standard.

Other manufacturers tapes can also be supplied.

» Distribution

A database is maintained with site details, product specification, tape quantities and delivery schedule information.

The same database is used to produce the customised labels for individual tapes and distribution address.

Storage units are packaged in a single unit shipping container holding up to 80 tapes.

» Used Tape Storage

Prior to conditioning or destruction, tapes are stored for an agreed period of time in case any recorded data is required during that period.

» Conditioning

Tapes are passed through conditioning equipment that cleans any loose debris from the tape and re-polishes the surface. This process returns tapes that have not been physically damaged to an as new condition.

After conditioning the final quality throughout the length of the tape is assessed and if it reaches the required standard it will be re-issued for use.

All conditioned tapes are de-gaussed to remove all previously recorded information.

» Log Books

Tape libraries are supplied with Audit trail log books covering the period during which the tapes are to be used.

Individual entries are identified in the log book by the tape number and calendar date of usage.

The log books provide the means to record procedural information that may be required if the tape is required as evidence.

The log sheets are customised with the individual site address.

» Quality Audit

A recorded image quality check is performed at regular intervals e.g. 2 x per year.

This service identifies the need for equipment maintenance or adjustment, excessive use of tapes, interference with operating functions or inadequacy of the recording for specified purpose.

The overall objective of the service is being to enhance the recorded image quality and therefore value of the investment made by the client in a CCTV security system.

The log sheets identify the tape to be sent for quality audit and a reusable Envopak is supplied for the forwarding and subsequent return to site of the tape.

Prints are made from all camera views on the tape and compared with a previous library print and audit report.

The prints are dispatched together with a written report to the client security department and/or installing company.

» Tape Disposal

Tapes are collected after the final use, are de-gaussed to remove all recorded information and physically destroyed to prevent further use.

A certificate of destruction is issued with each batch of tapes.
